Buster Blogathon 2019

Silentology's 5th annual BK Blogathon is set for February 18th and 19th of 2019. Silver 17 will once again be a participant. We are planning a tribute video featuring Buster's more surreal film moments.

Sherlock Jr. 1924

Buster would never own up to such artistic terms like "surrealism." He maintained he was just trying to get a laugh. I imagine growing up in vaudeville, as Buster did, was a somewhat surreal world. Actors, magicians, make up, costumes...  Perhaps surreal was not so surreal to him.

Here is a link to Silentology's post with the blogathon details.

The Marriage of Buster Keaton

"The Marriage of Buster Keaton" is a collage by Salvador Dali. Sent in a letter, it was mailed to a friend in 1926.

I can't find any other info on the piece. If anyone knows more about it, please leave a comment.

I must be I'm in Heaven-- Buster Keaton and collage art.

Update (4/1/22): I found this info on the IBKS website.
